    Cool AMR

I'm AMR - stands for "Alvaro M. Rocha", from Portugal.
I'm in the business of making and loosing fast big money (generally on the "making" more side).

    I'm from Portugal, Lisbon.
I'm an IT engineer, womenizer, music composer and producer, audio designer and engineer, journalist and martial arts (and piano) instructor, also nowadays hired as a "futurist" (God only knows why!) and to give speeches on achievement, motivating and investing (preferably, on me).

My CV/Resume more "Pro" side: http://www.alvaromrocha.com/cv.html
It gives no clue about my personal more loose and fun/wisdom/simplicity/art seeking side.

As most know I'm also a big mouthed inconvinient truth pointer galant corageous arsehole, but your kind of arsehole, time will surely show you ;-).

My favourite Jarre album is Equinoxe, but all are mostly good depending on my mood.

My favourite sport is sex, but I also like beer weight lift, cubar cigar finger distance throwing and snooker, I'm a huge really HUGE money waster on cars and my main gold in life is... er... like... absolutely none.

Time to hit the night and doing something really pointless and fun, with no gold in mind, the big absolute zero, and some music, babes and money waste on scotch on the rocks to go along. (no really good smileys here, BTW - missing sun glasses).

Inti here, which is my real name

I'm mainly a drawer, studying comics at an art school in Brussels, Belgium, and trying to make my life less mediocre :P I would define myself as an "artist" if that word didn't have a pompous and pretentious reputation.

fav JMJ albums: heh, the classics: Oxygene, Equinoxe, WFC and Chronologie.
However I mainly listen to ancient music e.g. Middle Ages and Renaissance profane music (not religious). Other musical interests include: Beethoven, traditional world music (arab, asian, indian, african, etc.), electronic (Kraftwerk, Vangelis, Tangerine Dream...), you get the idea. That list is not comprehensive and I keep an open mind, except for commercial mainstream crap.

the rest of the time I spend it being jealous of people like AMR and occasionally working for school

I can define myself a "multimedianic artist" as my main aims on my daily life are to achieve different aesthetic shapes to my inner thoughts and moods using more my pulsional attitude than the rational ones.
Throughout my last 15 years of creative activity I attempted to obtain this goal mainly painting canvas conceived according to my hypnagogical fantasies and reveries, following somehow the example of the surrealist artists such as Dal?¨, Tanguy, Ernst, Delvaux, Magritte, Frida Kahlo, and great italian painters like Caravaggio, De Chirico, Savinio, Clerici.
I still remember the strong overwhelming sensation I felt when I discovered the first compilation of Jarre on 1988, the italian long playng "Synthesis", listening to that cosmic and metaphysical soundscapes and watching the enigmatic covers of his albums reproduced on the back (at that time I suddenly fell in love with Granger magrittian images). I think that since that time my interest in music and making music has began to grow.
Over the years I developed my own style inspiring to my allucinative faculties and altered states of mind: the long track of "Waiting for Cousteau" remains to me even today the medianic "soundtrack" par excellence. Several canvas were painted on night-time listening to it again and again, not to mention his neverending sciamanic power to evoke also the atmospheres of some of my movies. I believe that Arnold Boecklin was imaging a similar melody when he painted "The island of dead".
Since 1998 I directed all by myself short-movies, documentaries and music video, composing also the soundtrack with my voice and electronic devices; my last short-movie was broadcasted on a Sky channel on the last week.
If you are interested to know further details about my work you can find a lot of data on the web and obviously on my own websites.
My avatar is taken by the Aero booklet, basically 'cause my selfportrait was uncorrectly credited when the album was released on 2004 (Dunkie was so kind to insert it on the Jarre Uk Art Gallery).
Well, I hope to enjoy very soon a new album and concert of Jean Michel, like in the golden age of Docklands and La Defense.
    Bon voyage

    Hello all,

I thought I drop a short introduction in here. My name is Michel Voorn, 41 years old and living in Leidschendam (close to The Hague), a place in the Netherlands (Europe). My nickname is the first 2 letters of my first name, and the first 2 letters of my last name. Ok, I had to choose something

My occupation is still network administrator at an education office in The Hague, but unfortunately I lost my job. However, I'm still in service at work in a some kind of outplacement traject route, to find another job for me.

The music I like is electronic music, I'm a big fan of Jean Michel Jarre (yeah, why else should I be here ). Other artists I like are Vangelis, Kraftwerk, Tangerine Dream, Mike Oldfield, Christopher J Wray, Designer Thumbs, Intelligentsia. Should I go on ?

Other interests are watching series like Star Trek, Stargate, 24, Invasion, Surface, Lost etc. I also like to visit zoo's and nature areas. Since I went to Denmark for the first time in 2002 for the Aero concert, I like this country very much as vacation destination, sofar I've been there 7 times and soon I hope to go there again, but due to my current job situation I dunnow when that will be.

My health is not so good, since 1995 I've the disease Rheumatism, in combination with Psoriasis.

    Hi,

I'm a student (although that implies that I work...), big fan of Jarre and other strange music, eg ELP, Pink Floyd, The Doors, Gryphon and many more besides, and classical. I play keyboards, trumpet and an assortment of strange medieval instruments.
At the moment I'm working on covering some of Jarre's stuff with a friend and as many keyboards as we can lay our hands on, and, as soon as I get some free time, I'm working on a laser harp. Favourite Jarre album: between Oxygene, Rendez-vous and Rendez-vous in Space (although not strictly and album).
In any other spare time I sail, shoot and indulge in many music related activities.
