Any recent news on a new album?

The title says it all really. With the 2010 tour well underway and possibly heading into 2011 will this allow much studio time if any? It is now over three years since T&T

As you've probably read in the tour programme, he intends to write/record the album whilst on tour. Although in the recent(?) event of his mother's passing, it seems he has pushed the release date in to 2011.

Maybe he has been through a dry spell creatively, which would explain why only one new song has made it into the setlist - although you would think/hope that playing with the old analogue gear each night would be an inspiration in itself.

I think it's more to do with the rigid setlist (only one change since March - omitting Oxygene 1), and maybe JMJ is holding out on us :-)
If the atmosphere on the 101010 countdown last night is anything to go by, we're in for something special.
    Concerts attended:

    Destination Docklands 1988
    Paris la Defense 1990
Europe in Concert - Wembley Stadium 1993
Oxygene Tour - Wembley Arena 1997
    Theatre Marigny Paris 2007
Oxygene Tour - NCH Dublin 2008
    2010 Tour - The 02 Dublin
    2010 Tour - The 02 London

    Upcoming:
    ???

I love the intro music as JMJ enters the auditorium.

But I agree, the new album sounds like it will be something very special, although the only 'hard' evidence we have is the new "Adagio(??) track he performs and the short fragments of seemingly new music we heard on the Thé ou Café interview http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fMIVb_SkygE

For me, he hasn't produced a particularly creative album since Metamorphoses, and even that is pushing things a bit. T&T was a complete letdown, so I'm really hoping he goes back to his roots on this new album and produces something wonderful and fresh with a blend of old and new equipment.
