Just received some spam in my inbox (from robertdaviss). Anything the mods can do about it?

Yeah locate or set a trap up, so we can catch one of these spammers and then torture them with a hungry Florida Alligator that hasn’t been feed in over week. Just dangle the spammer upside-down with the gabbing jaws wide open “feed me”!

We can have some rats nibbling on some blooded rope till, until it snaps and the spammer falls into those snappers’ mouths! and the Alligator says: Yummy I want more spam!

i got the same message is it genuine or another way for you to follow the link and have yor pc loaded with virses and your bank accont emptied ?

A good rule of thumb is: if you didn't ask for it, don't download it. Certainly SoF would not encourage any "services" like this.

If you receive an unsolicited message that looks a bit suspect or one of those doom and gloom virus warnings, you can normally get a pretty good idea if its a spam/hoax etc.. by taking a chunk of the text from the message and Googling it.

This particular one seems to be common on many forums.

You can always spot this scum when then don’t fill their profiles out to the letter!

I think this should be said time and time again. If you don’t fill your profile out in a sensible manger you will be banned. This should be enforced with fierce conviction!:lights:
