Thread: Oxygene Chart Positions

Dunkie, can you shed any light on why EMI replicated Warners strategy by releasing the straight CD after the special edition? it seems crazy as what ever tiny momentum the release has will be well forgotten by then

    Talking See my other post...

...Please see my other post called ' JMJ retrouve son oxygene'...

I did find that press release from a French newspaper about 2 days ago I think....I didn't translate the whole lot but only the last little paragraph where it says that OXYGENE will be released in a sleeve in The Mail On Sunday in the UK sometime in the month of January...

More than 2 millions copies will be done...

The link of the article is provided on that particular thread.

If this article is true and accurate and OXYGENE is given away in that newspaper, well I guess a lot of people here in the UK will buy this newspaper just for the album....This could bring in a lot of new JMJ fans etc...:P

Anyway, if they do this , surely they might have got something in mind ???

    Few UK concerts perhaps?

    New kind of promotion?

I don't have a clue but I hope JMJ will play OXYGENE here in the UK in 2008.

    He's due a visit !8))

In Holland Oxygene 3D is only available on backorder. Sporadically you can find the CD-only version in the shops, but the DVD-versions have to be ordered. The album is nowhere to be found in the Dutch album-charts for the moment...

And on what do you base that ? Because I'm not sure if that is true, could be it depend on the shop. Will check later today.
