yes - yes - yes COUNT ME IN !!!!!! I was there to - it was my first LIVE concert and its was unforgetable - it was his BEST CONCERT damn right!!!
Greetings LEO
20 years next year???
Feeling old!!!!!
But count me in, I'd deffo buy that and Houston, La Defense etc etc
Hard for me to decide, as I¥ve never seen it. But any of the legendary concerts are sure welcome.
Look at the picture with the Laserharp on this website...
http://www.jeanmicheljarre.pl/index....=141&Itemid=51
You can clearly see JMJ playing the Laserharp at Destination Docklands and the illuminated choir in the background. So I think this photo was taken during Rendez-Vous 3 and not during the Laserharp-part of Rendez-Vous 2 because of the choir!
My next thought is that you can clearly see 3 if not 4 cameramen on this photo. So there DO exist more footage of the Docklands-concert!
@ DreyfusMusic: If you really want to make money you shouldn't release useless anniversary-boxes of Oxygene. The people out there (me to) will prefer Jarre's own anniversary-box with some new variation-parts. But you should move heaven and earth to get together a new release of the whole Docklands-concert! Certainly many of the people who where there in the first or the second night will buy this... and they are thousands8)) I can not promise but I can imagine that you will swim in your money! Come on... the footage is there... somewhere in a dark cupboard.
Blimey...this is so in need of a decent DVD release!...Like many I was there, I also remember how cold I was, and how wet it was, but I didn't care! :-)..I was too busy enjoying the show (must have been about 12 at the time)
As theres obviously lots of footage, hows about multi-angle, and maybe an option whetreby you just have the raw footage (no mike mansfield effects) and you can use the angle option to swap around...
It'd be good if they could have a feature similar to something I saw on the Chicken Run DVD..you could use the raw footage, and paste it together in the way you want..maybe saving the result out ?..maybe with some Arkaos style effects..OK..I know its 10 years ahead, but it'd be cool.
Theres probably tonnes of stuff we'd all want, but I'd love to see this concert on DVD :-)
i want it too
For his 60th birthday Jarre should re-release his 4 major concerts Houston, Lyon, London and Paris La Defense in a special dvd box set like a present for himself and specially for US.
It's very disappointing to know that nothing is still planned after the promises he made in the past.
Well, at least we'll have this 3d Oxygene live. But....just imagine Docklands in 3d! (mmmm...I think it will be impossible!)
8)) 8)) :yay:
Is there still Jarre inside you Jean-Michel?
Count me in on the petition - I too was there, for the first night, for what was the last of the 'classic' JMJ concerts
Probably the coldest I have ever been!
Would love a full unedited DVD of this - as the edit of Industrial Revolution and Revolutions on the old release bordered on the criminal. Revolutions was less than a THIRD of the length of the song played on the night, FFS.
Still get goosebumps when I recall the sonorous echo of the laser harp echoing round the Dock, the long, long, LONG 'tinkle-crunch-crash' intro of Industrial Revolution that opened the show, the massive roar from the crowd as Jarre magically appeared on stage for the first solo shortly afterward, the truly awesome firework display of The Emigrant (never bettered, before or since, at any of his gigs), 'Honk' playing live all the way through Rendezvous 4 (somehow removed from the video), the stunning full performance of Ethnicolor with the weird drum machine instrument he played.
"There are three kinds of people that no-one understands: Geniuses, madmen, and guys that mumble."
You and me both - it was flippin' freezing ! One of the best nights of my life, and the best ever fireworks display I've ever seen. Memories eh?Originally Posted by Synner
