SoF member Daz suggested a petition to try and get a DVD produced of the Docklands Concerts as next year will mark the 20th anniversary of this concert.
(From a personal point of view, I was just discovering JMJ at the age of 17 and really wanted to go, but couldnít!)
We, the undersigned, would like all relevant people who currently hold the copyright licences to the Jean Michel Jarre concert ìDestination Docklandsî to get together and find some common ground to which all parties will benefit from the release of a DVD of this concert.
All Jarre fans have expressed a wish for this concert to be released on DVD (along with others like La Defense, Houston etc)...
Our proposal would be to produce the following ñ of course ñ these are just some ideas:
DVD Title: Destination Docklands - 20th Anniversary Special Edition
Contents:If you have any other ideas, please post them below.
- FULL Concert without any track cuts
- Audio: Best possible with audio commentary track
- Concert Rehearsals
- Interviews with musicians, key personnel, stage construction staff, ex-Newham Council staff
- The Making of Destination Docklands
- BBC Radio Broadcast Audio
- Press Cuttings (Gallery)
- Fan Interviews
- Fan memories of the concert (Video Interviews / or text)
- The Docklands Today ñ A documentary on how the area has been regenerated
